France Telecom Sells 26% Stake In India's BPL Mobile
PARIS -(Dow Jones)- France Telecom SA (FTE) has sold its 26% stake in Indian cellular operator BPL Mobile Communications Ltd., a spokeswoman for the French company said Friday.
The Paris-based company declined to give financial details.
According to France Telecom's annual report, the remaining 74% is held by BPL Cellular Holdings, which has interests in wireless, Internet and broadband services throughout India.
BPL Mobile had 573,877 registered customers at December 31, 2002.
