F-Secure In Talks With Nokia On Incorrect Royalties

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- F-Secure Oyj (FSC1V.HE) of Finland Monday said it is in discussions with Nokia Corp (NOK) on incorrectly paid royalties.

F-Secure said that Nokia has notified F-Secure regarding incorrectly reported and paid F-Secure SSH OEM royalties between the fourth quarter 2001 and the third quarter 2004.

F-Secure said it is currently in talks with Nokia on how to correct the error.

Maximum impact of a possible reimbursement is a negative impact of about EUR1.1 million F-Secure's net profit, the company said.

F-Secure said it has accrued this amount in the third quarter results. Royalties from year 2004 are credited through sales and royalties from previous years have been booked as extraordinary costs, the company said.

F-Secure will report third-quarter results on Oct. 26.
