Qualcomm Director Resigns
Qualcomm has announced that Frank Savage had resigned as a member of Qualcomm's Board of Directors. Mr. Savage had served as a member of its Board since 1996.
"Frank Savage has served Qualcomm and its stockholders well and has continually provided me with valuable counsel," said Dr. Irwin Mark Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm. "We appreciate the service he has rendered and his many contributions to the Board. All members of the Board join me in wishing Frank the best in his future endeavors."
Savage was a director of the failed energy trader, Enron and his reapointment in 2002 was opposed by labor groups and some shareholders who blamed him for some of the responsibility surrounding the collapse of Enron."
