Easier Publishing for Mobile Games Programmers

Player X, a new company offering a brokerage service to mobile content creators was launched in London last week by two veterans of the mobile entertainment industry. Player X works directly with developers of games and other mobile services to introduce their content to the leading mobile network operators and portals throughout Europe.

Player X says that it acts as a direct sales route, guaranteeing that content will be presented to tier one operators and portals within a month of content being signed. The company also provides strategic information for each territory within Europe, allowing developers and intellectual property owners to maximise their revenue opportunities within individual countries.

PlayerX has been founded by Tony Pearce and Ari Honka, former executives with the mobile games publisher Digital Bridges. Working with a leading publisher has given both the founders extensive experience working with world leading brands and licences and representing these properties to the world's leading mobile network operators.

"The mobile market has grown and matured enormously in the past few months," says Tony Pearce, CEO of Player X. "It's now attracting a great deal of attention from the major media and entertainment companies, as well as growing numbers of developers. The problem for these companies is that the market is quite complex, with multiple routes to the consumer and a large number of possible business models. Ensuring their content is placed on the leading portals and reaches the widest possible range of consumers is vital if the company's content is to reach its full potential. Player X was founded with the intention of creating an expert partner for these companies and helping them to move into the mobile sector quickly and effectively."

Player X has already signed its first deal with one of Europe's largest mobile portals as well as multiple titles and an entirely new line of mobile applications. Details of these deals will be announced in the near future."
