African Network Expansion

Stratex Networks has been selected by an unnamed African mobile telephony company to provide US$12.8 million of wireless transmission equipment, for the expansion of its GSM network in Africa. These orders include both Altium MX and XP4 products. Shipments commenced during the fiscal fourth quarter and are expected to be completed during the fiscal first quarter.

"These orders demonstrate our longstanding commitment to deliver comprehensive wireless transmission solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers," stated Chuck Kissner, chairman and chief executive officer of Stratex Networks. "We look forward to our continued work with our customers in the region and are proud to participate in the build out of communications infrastructure in Africa through the deployment of our equipment."
