Flat Concept Phone Shown

The Russian firm, Proekt has shown off a concept handset that is made up of a single large LCD screen. The 1 Phone is designed to be 105mm x 40mm x 11mm and is made of plastic with a shockproof screen covering.

The handset should be available on GSM and 3G networks although the company has not detailed any launch plans.

The joystick and power switch are metal, but all other buttons appear on the touch sensitive screen - which changes layout depending on which application is in use. The normal dialing buttons are 13mm in diameter, which is sufficient for most users.

Worryingly, the phone's battery seems to be integrated into the body of the phone which could make changing it difficult - a la iPod problems."
