Picsel Technologies says that it will launch a web browser that enables an entire screen to be displayed on the BREW platform. Picsel Browser on BREW V2.1 and beyond - will for the first time enable Full Web Browsing featuring Flash, Video and a range of formats including Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF. Running purely on the BREW platform and independently of the device OS, Picsel Browser will reduce engineering overheads for Network Operators and OEM's by ensuring the solution operates across all BREW handsets.

"Already in final beta stage development, Picsel Browser on BREW will be available in Q2 of this year, and will be shipping in the US, China, Japan, Korea and India by the end of 2004".
Already available and shipping on Linux, Symbian (UIQ and Series 60), Palm, MicroITRON and the Microsoft platforms - Picsel software will usher in a new generation of user experience for the BREW platform.
A first for Mobile, Picsel's Mobile Display Technology intelligently reconstitutes any type of content to fit the width of the device screen, while maintaining the integrity and rich quality of the original content page. A feature which is employable across all content formats, for example HTML for Browsing, MS Word or Adobe PDF, Picsel's Mobile Display Technology empowers rich content delivery through simple navigation.
Another first for Mobile, Picsel's Link Navigator enables users to swiftly scan through the content page, using intelligent sequential stepping of hyperlinks. Allowing the user to quickly identify key areas of interest, Picsel's Link Navigator is adaptable to multiple device form factors and various content formats."
