Ericsson Wins Argentinean GSM Contract

Telefonica's mobile operation in Argentina, Unifon, has selected Ericsson as sole supplier to expand and upgrade their GSM network throughout the country.

The agreement includes EDGE-capable GSM/GPRS 850 MHz and 1900 MHz equipment, transmission equipment and a 5-year software and hardware support contract for Unifon's TDMA and GSM networks, both of which are supplied by Ericsson.
