Canadian Digital Coverage to Expand

Canada's Manitoba Telecom Services (MTS) says that it will expand its digital coverage to 11 Manitoba communities this year, providing MTS wireless customers with more continuous coverage along Manitoba routes.

"People living in these communities will really enjoy having access to the latest in cellular technology. There are so many advantages like longer battery life, a clearer signal, greater privacy and security, and access to more features," says Roger Ballance, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, MTS Communications Inc.

MTS continues its commitment to provide state-of-the-art communication technology to Manitobans across the province. Once the expansion is complete, MTS's digital network will cover about 97% of the population of Manitoba, making it the widest digital network in the province.

Communities receiving the digital service are Woodlands, Hamiota, Hartney, Reston, Treherne, Rossburn, Birtle, Shoal Lake, Thompson, Flin Flon and The Pas."
