T-Mobile Seeks Supply Outsourcing

Somera Communications has signed a Supplier Agreement with T-Mobile Netherlands. Under the terms of the agreement, Somera sources and supplies new or redeployed equipment for the T-Mobile Netherlands network. As a totally OEM-independent supplier of network infrastructure equipment, Somera is able to support T-Mobile Netherlands across a range infrastructure equipment requirements, rapidly sourcing and delivering equipment needed for the expansion and maintenance of the T-Mobile Netherlands network. Somera's proprietary customer database of more than 1,100 customers worldwide and its constant contact with most of the global network operators means that it can search, locate and fulfill specific equipment requests rapidly.

"Following the highly successful launch of the T-Mobile brand in the Dutch market earlier this year, Somera has been helping T-Mobile by sourcing and supplying equipment that has enabled it to add extra capacity to its network to support its growth in new customers and network traffic," said Ron Patterson, Managing Director, EMEA of Somera Communications. Somera's new and redeployed equipment supply can support core and ancillary requirements for switching, transmission, wireless, and data networking applications. In addition to program and project management expertise, Somera provides three categories of services: Equipment Asset Optimization for redeployment planning, asset management, liquidation, and valuation; Equipment Installation & Integration for installations/ de-installation and multi-product integration; Equipment Quality Enhancement for customization, refurbishing, and repair.
