Record Month for Vodacom

Vodacom has reached 9 million active customers in South Africa. During December 2003 Vodacom signed up over 627,000 new customers in South Africa alone.

"This was Vodacom's best month since we started service in South Africa on 1 June 1994. We remain the leading network in South Africa with more than 54% market share. Vodacom also has 1,25 million customers outside South Africa," said Alan Knott-Craig, Vodacom's Group CEO."
