The consultancy firm, Omnitele says that it has been assisting the Channel Island (UK) based Jersey Telecom to increase their GSM network quality inland and to further expand their mobile network coverage to other Channel Islands. Jersey Telecom is a fixed network and mobile operator with headquarters on Jersey Island. As soon as UMTS will start to materialise in Europe in the near future, Jersey Telecom will also be the first operator on the Channel Islands to offer 3G services to its customers.
