Greek Network Orders Java Games Platform

Greek mobile operator Cosmote has selected Nokia to supply the solution to deliver content for its newly launched MYCOSMOSview games service. Nokia has provided its Delivery Server solution for the downloading content such as Java and Symbian games and applications to mobile phones through the MYCOSMOSview service.

The contract with Nokia follows a successful trialing of the solution. The agreement includes the Nokia Delivery Server system, integration, network performance and maintenance services.

"We recognize that the business opportunities from content downloading - especially Java games -- will become an increasing important part of Cosmote's future success," says Damianos Charalambidis, General Manager of Products, Services and Marketing, Cosmote. "We feel that the Nokia Delivery Server will open this channel to our customers in the most flexible and cost-effective way."
