Hong Kong Network Gets New Billing Platform
Convergys has won a contract with Hong Kong mobile network operator SmarTone. SmarTone is the first operator in Hong Kong to deploy Geneva, the Infinys application for rating and billing, to support current and next-generation offerings.
"Compared to other products we evaluated, Convergys' Geneva is by far the best one to help us bring new offerings to the market faster," said Stephen Chau, Chief Technology Officer of SmarTone. "We're confident that with this Infinys application for rating and billing we can quickly and efficiently introduce 2G and 3G mobile service offerings to business and individual customers in Hong Kong."
"SmarTone's track record of innovation and market responsiveness continues to help make Hong Kong an exciting market for voice and data services," said Francois Lancon, President of Convergys' Information Management Group for Asia Pacific. "With Geneva, SmarTone deploys an advanced rating and billing application to support its launch of new offerings and innovative service bundles as the company continues to differentiate itself in a highly competitive market."
Convergys will work with LogicaCMG to complete the Infinys implementation.
