Romania's GSM network operator, Connex has published its growth strategy for Transylvania. The strategy is focused on meeting the growing communications needs of the people and businesses in Transilvania and to increase Connex's presence in the region.

"Connex is committed to increase its visibility in Transilvania by launching an ambitious long term program consisting in network coverage expansion, special promotions and community support activities. Connex network has now over 500 GSM stations in Transylvania and Banat. This network will be significantly expanded in the next year. By growing both coverage and capacity in the region, Connex will increase its ability to deliver leading services to the vast majority of the population of Transylvania and Banat.

Connex also expects in the coming year to expand regional marketing initiatives. Starting today, Connex will offer a special post-paid promotion to the people of Transilvania. The promotion is available for the residents of Brasov, Cluj, Alba, Sibiu, Covasna, Harghita, Mures, Bistrita, Salaj, Bihor, Maramures, Satu Mare and Arad counties.
