Flash Animation for Mobile Phones
Nazomi Communications and Digital Aria have announced that Digital Aria's Mobile Flash Animation engine has been adapted to be accelerated by Nazomi's JA108 multimedia application processor. This will result in Mobile Flash Animation frame rates of 15 frames per second. South Korea's SK Telecom has agreed to utilize the enhanced Flash capability in its GIGA platform.
With Nazomi's JA108 Multimedia Application Processor added to Digital Area's Flash processor, Flash animation performance can now be increased three to five times, to rates of 15 frames per second. This means that SKT's subscribers will be able to view animation content in a movie-like quality.
"Digital Aria's new and innovative Flash Animation solution will bring a new source of revenue for the carriers across multiple platforms. Combined with Nazomi's JA108 application processor, this enables us to deliver to wireless carriers and in turn their cell phone customers, the highest Flash performance in the most cost effective manner," said DukHo, Doug Jang, president of Digital Aria. "Nazomi's processor chip is a very innovative and cost effective solution. We look forward to working with Nazomi to continue bringing ongoing value-add services to the mass consumer base across the globe."
"Nazomi's JA108 is a unique application processor capable of accelerating any multimedia function.
