Senior Legal Counsel – German speaking

Our client a large telecommunications company in Germany is currently recruiting for a Senior Legal candidate to join their team in Dusseldorf. This is a German speaking role

Responsibilities

§ You will be responsible for supporting the business by providing advice on a variety of matters as well as drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts;

§ Drafting official documents issued by the company;

§ Ensuring the legal compliance of the company’s activity;

§ Monitoring and ensuring the compliance with the company’s internal policy related to legal issues;

§ Dealing with corporate issues;

§ Maintaining the relationship with the official authorities and obtaining the necessary certificates;

§ Support for the HR Department with respect to labour law issues;

§ Providing overall legal support and consultancy to the other departments of the company;

§ Co-ordinating with external law firms and liaising with customers in the preparation, negotiation and completion of all legal documentation with respect to all legal practice areas such as telecom law, IPR law, IT law, contract law, company law, criminal law, employment law, immigration law and EU law etc;

§ Legal transaction support to other European platforms will also be required as needed, especially to Austria and Switzerland (not frequent).

Requirements

§ 3+ years of experience as Legal Counsel in a national/international company or law firms;

§ Minimum of Bachelor degree in Law; candidates having experiences on commercial contracts, IPR and labour law issues are more preferable.

§ Excellent drafting and negotiation skills together with a strong commercial sense required;

§ Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and fluency in English (legal English) and German

§ Computer skills required: word, excel, databases, PowerPoint and outlook

§ Being optimistic, patient and have good skills of communication; can work under pressure, available for frequent business trips (Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Bonn, Munich, etc.)
